My Drug of Choice

Coffee for me
It’s kind of a joke in the ER, but I drink coffee. I mean, from the time I get there until I leave, I like to drink coffee. Black coffee. If I wanted candy, I’d get candy. Coffee is only coffee when it’s black.

Today, I took a picture of my coffee. And now, I share it with you.

  1. I thought coffee was only coffee if it was black and crunchy. Guess it’s just in the OPFOR.

  2. Thank you, Doc…it’s nice to share. :-)

Kinda reminds me of a story told me by a colleague who was in Kuwait and Iraq in Desert Storm. His BN commander asked my colleague to get him a cup of coffee. My colleague asked the Colonel whether he wanted cream and sugar. BNC said “Doc, I want a coffee, not a f—ing milkshake.”

Another medical story from the sand.

….ah-HA! Is that cup of coffee supposed to be on the counter at the Trauma nurse’s station? I think NOT! :)

  5. Nurse Kelly: You caught me, but it was for “Photographic Purposes Only”, and was immediately removed.

Nobody else knew it was the trauma desk…
