BARBADOS, West Indies — Tiger Woods married his Swedish girlfriend Elin Nordegren at a ceremony on the Caribbean island of Barbados, local media reported.

“They said ‘I do’ at 5:40 p.m. [2145 GMT],” said a reporter with the government-owned Caribbean Broadcasting Corporation.

I will now remind you all, and the media, of the rules I boldly put forth regarding Tiger and his family, ask you all to honor them.

I hope they’re happy. Life in the fishbowl can be short and brutal.
