LASIK @ Home

In the past, LASIK surgery was an expensive procedure that could only be performed by skilled professionals in a doctor’s office or eye clinic. Often costing upwards of $1000 per eye and almost never covered by insurance, Laser-Assisted In Situ Keratomileusis (LASIK) was beyond the reach of most Americans.

Now the revolutionary LASIK@Home system makes clear vision affordable for everyone.

Hehe.  Not for me.

  1. Oh my goodness….when hell freakin’ freezes over.

(and when my new Versace frames break; even then it will be in a clinic!)

  2. Holy crap…this can’t possibly be legit, can it?

  3. hi it REAL, I used the kits and my vision improve to 20/10
I can now see in the dark

  4. It’s a joke. Clark Bartram at Unintelligent Design blogged on this last week. The order form is a dead link. However the t-shirts and mugs appear to be legit.

In any case, a fool and his money are soon parted.

  5. I’m trying to remember where I first saw the spoof safety warning

“Do not look in laser with remaining eye.”

  6. It didn’t make any sense as a legitimate site, but on the other hand, it’s not very funny.
Perhaps we might consider it paying homage to Andy Kaufman, whose antics blurred the line between entertainment and reality, and in the end much of his stuff wasn’t very funny either.
The writers/editors for The Onion would have done a much better job.
