I can't recall that I've read much medical Sci Fi in the past few years so my claim might be diluted by current authors I’m not aware of but I still believe that James White's novels, especially his "Sector General" books were brilliant, at least from a non-medically trained reader’s perspective.

I still have them in my garage bookcase of books I like to re-read and I just pulled them out when I saw the post. So, thanks for reminding me of a author I haven’t read in a few years.

I just wish I could find a copy of “The Silent Stars Go By” an alternated history book in the vein of “Lest Darkness Fall” by L. Sprague De Camp.
