Samba broken (badly) in Snow Leopard

Posted by GruntDoc on December 21st, 2009

Yeah, I’m late to this party, and have just wasted several days figuring out that nobody has a fix for it that’s as easy as older OS versions.

Bummer. I am enjoying the iMac, though. That’s why I’m not writing much (that and if I wrote about work right now I’d need to get a new job).

We have also had the problem of Samba (which we use extensively) is broken in Snow Leopard. That’s why I never upgrade anything until the software/hardware has been around for at least 1 year.

What in samba doesn’t work? I actually had horrific problems with NFS and Samba in Leopard that were all fixed in Snow Leopard. Can you elaborate on your problems?
