Narcissistic personality disorder, characterized by an inflated sense of self-importance and the need for constant attention, has been eliminated from the upcoming manual of mental disorders, which psychiatrists use to diagnose mental illness.

  1. I guess we have (d)evolved to the state where narcissism is considered the norm. It is all about what “you” can do for “me,” and less about what I can do for myself. I see it everyday in the ED and I’m sure you do as well.

  2. Once they figured put that the most successful personality type for a CEO is borderline sociopathic, something had to change, right?

  3. I guess that means that all of the doctors that I know are no longer mentally ill…except for the Borderlines, of course.

  4. Right on, Shadowfax! In fact, I think the Narcissist in Chief probably issued an executive order to remove it.
