I’m watching TNT, and they just showed a promo for their late night TV movies:

Ambien late night movies.

This is laughable, naming watching movies after a sedative-hypnotic, but it’s also a sign of how out of whack direct to consumer drug advertising has gotten.

Spare me the ‘free market’ argument. Medicinals do not exist in a free market in this country, they’re part of one of the most tightly regulated industries in the US.

I’m very glad I work in an ED, and people don’t bring me coupons for meds.

For a Very Related rant, take a look at this.
