Welcome one and all to my very first Grand Rounds. I was handed Volume 4 Number 37 by the one and only Nicholas Genes of Blogborygmi fame. Thank you Nick for this opportunity. It is an honor to present to you all the greatest the web has to offer this week, organized in my own Happy little way. As many movie do gooders have learned, all actors and actresses in this universe can be traced back to Kevin Bacon through a maximum of 6 movies. Aptly known as the Six Degrees of Kevin Bacon.

Stupid Radio Ads

Today, on the way home, I was listening to the radio, absentmindedly listening to the latest “Magic Pill” ad, when this snapped me out of my reverie:
“(Magic Pill) is not a medication, so be sure to consult your doctor before taking it”.
That’s got to be the dumbest thing I’ve heard all year, and I listened to some of the presidential primary debates. Really? It’s not a medicine, something a doctor should know about, it’s a non-medicine, so consult a physician (expert in medicine and medicines) before you take their idiotic magic pill.
Be sure and ask your doc about synthetic oils and pleated air filters while you’re at it.

I went on vacation, and due to a lot of things (mostly sloth, but work and weird politics at work) didn’t tell you in advance. I profusely apologize.
I appreciate the ONE of you readers (1/9th) who wrote inquiring as to my health, and I thank Kevin (way too busy to read this blog) for answering my email and posting that I was on vacation.
To Disneyland. It was great. And, we looked at a couple more colleges for my daughter; maybe more later.
