Today is my first anniversary at my new job. I was reminded of that fact when my security card stopped opening doors, and I couldn’t get in to work last night.
Flummoxed at first (it worked last time), then a little paranoid (is this how they tell you they’ve let you go?), I realized that it was a year to the day that I had picked up my ID card. Aah, somebody pushed the ‘annual’ button in the computer. I’ll get it fixed this coming week.
One year here? It’s gone by very quickly, and I hope there are many more.
Better than the “anal” button which is what I thought I read my first time through the post!!
