The reaction of visitors to seeing this manly piece of porcelain is divided straight down the gender line:
Men: “cool!”
Women: “who cleans it?”
It should be noted none of the women inquire similarly about the upstairs bidet. (Yes, we have one. No, I’ve never used the bidet; like the urinal, they were here when I got here).
With this and the garage service pit, I have the coolest house around.

I thought those things were self cleaning. You just need to apply a little pressure on that chrome handle, and the job is done.

Has anyone used a toilet in a modern Japanese hotels lately?
electrically warmed seats, bidet and washer w/3 pressure setting (don’t ask!) and air freshener. I hate to say it, but the ‘experience” was quite civilzed compared to…well, I’ve probably already said enough (or too much!)
