The questions below are about Australia, are from potential visitors.
They were posted on an Australian Tourism Website and the answers are the actual responses by the website officials, who obviously have a sense of humour.
Q: Does it ever get windy in Australia? I have never seen it rain on TV, so how do the plants grow? (UK).
A: We import all plants fully grown and then just sit around watching them die.
Go, read the rest, see if you laugh like an idiot me.
I gave carriage tours in downtown Charleston one summer. I had someone ask me how we got the Spanish moss on the trees. I replied, the city hires florists who come in every morning and throw it over the trees. And the task of the greater Charleston area (i.e. not the peninsula) was outsourced to others.
Hi, I came across your blog recently, and I thought that you and your readers might be interested in checking out a virtual memorial park I found online that’s dedicated to people with prostate cancer–www.prostatecancerfoundation.org/monumentpark .
(I read about the site in the Dallas Mornin News. If you want to read the article, it’s at http://www.dmnews.com/cgi-bin/artprevbot.cgi?article_id=30925&dest=article)
I created by own memorial to my father and shared it with my family and they were also able to add pictures/notes/thoughts.
The prostate cancer foundation website was also good to look through, as they seem to offer a lot more than the traditional “what is prostate cancer material”.
good link to the xelan potential scandal. I also don’t mind paying my fair share of taxes, though i know they arent spent wisely. I will watch out for that kind of mess in the future. thanks
