Yahoo reports that Americans are getting fatter, and includes an illustrative photo. But, there’s a problem with the photo:
Unfortunately, the photo is from Merry Olde England, in Heathrow Airport to be exact. Maybe in the international terminal, but still an amusing touch.

I think we should torch all the drive-thru and fast food places. Buy local, eat fresh like our ancestors did. What is going to happen to us with all these chemicals?

An interesting observation the other day upon arriving to a Chick-Fil-A restaurant– I pulled up and noticed a lengthy line for the drive-thru and considered going elsewhere. But I really wanted those delightful chicken morsels so I pulled to a stop in the middle of the lot and glanced through the windows. Not a soul was standing in line. I parked, walked in, ordered, paid, and walked out in the time it took them to serve two vehicles. While walking back to the car, I felt a little disturbed by the fact that we’d rather sit in our cars for a considerably longer amount of time than walk a very short distance and get faster service.
