I have to say that there is no love between the emergency room and the rest of the hospital.
Interestingly, he sees the light after working in the ED.

haha, i realized that everyone hated the ED long ago, but i definitely have a new appreciation for how tough it can be down there.

Us ER guys hear the same litany of complaints and rationalizations from every successive crop of interns and residents. We don’t take it personally… and neither should the resident who is told “just admit the patient.”
If only it were that easy…
Now if they would just realize that we don’t hold the patients for admission until change of shift we would have it made.
