Toyota’s Prius Becomes a Southern Belle | Autopia from Wired.com
The SUV is dead and Toyota can’t build Prius hybrids fast enough, so it’s suspending production of big trucks and will build the Prius in Mississippi at a plant that was slated to produce SUVs.
Not until 2010, but it looks like Toyota is betting fuel isn’t going down, and they’re going to give up on the Big Truck market, or at least give up their push to displace one of the Big Three.
There is no reason for most people to own a SUV.
Or for most to own a computer, yet people want them, so they have them.
If that’s the case, then most or even all people don’t need a TV, but how many people do you know that don’t own a computer or TV? Speaking of TV, did anybody see the New York physician on this new CBS show last night called Greatest American Dog? It’s pretty funny. There are clips of the doc and his dog from the TV show on this new site called TheDoctorsChannel.com. The doctor even threw his dog a Bark Mitzvah and the video clip is up on this site. But aside from the funny clips, there are actually great medical videos. It’s an internet TV website for doctors. You might be interested in this.

Spoken like a young single guy with no kids.
Toyota is a smart and nimble company about to build the Prius in USA. The big three are bumbling idiots that can’t forsee a market trend when it hits them in the face.
People will buy whatever vehicle they want, but there is a steep decline in the market for huge suv’s. Yes, I bought a Prius in 2007 and it really helps on my 42 mile commute. My last 9 gallon tankful yielded 480+ miles!
I am far from a liberal single guy, so I of course must have the obligatory Chrysler Town & Country for the wife and three kids. My partner can’t understand why I don’t have a BMW. No, I’m not trying to save the planet, but I will drive this Prius until America starts drilling it’s own oil again, or somebody can come up with a car that runs on something other than gasoline.
