You mean, people, when faced with facts about cost (and their end of it) choose the less costly option? When did this start?
Oh yeah, we do it all the time, except in medicine. Where our costs will bankrupt the country.
Jeez… what have we always said? When the apparent cost to the patient is ZERO, there’s no incentive to save and/or restrain yourself in any way.
You can’t shield people from the costs of things and expect them to make cost-conscious decisions. I just can’t be done.
People MUST pay something… they MUST bear some direct share of the cost.
