Don’t make yourself unhireable.

As the medical director of a health services group that serves racially diverse patients in some of Chicago’s poorest neighborhoods, Ravi Grivois-Shah, MD, always conducts a quick search of physicians he’s interested in hiring on various social media sites and blogs to see if anything worrisome surfaces before offering them a position.

  1. Great advice. Something to share with all of these college age scribes wanting to get into medical school. Many are so eager to share every last detail of their personal life on Facebook.

  2. Everyone should know that this is a common practice by now. If you’re trying to get a job in any serious field like the medical industry, do not post stupid pictures of yourself on the internet…it’s there forever.
