Coffee and tea may reduce the risk of serious liver damage in people who drink too much alcohol, are overweight or have too much iron in the blood, researchers reported yesterday.

The study of nearly 10,000 people showed that those who drank more than two cups of coffee or tea per day developed chronic liver disease at half the rate of those who drank less than one cup each day.

  1. This is, indeed, Good News.

Now, if I could only convince the cardiologist that drinking decaf (instead of real coffee) is harmful to a post-CABG patched doll, I’d be a much happier camper.

Who knows, I might even be able to stay awake long enough to go back to work!

  2. Liver, prostate, liver, prostate????
Well, I know which one hurts the most when I drink caffine.

A career NCO deprived of the effects of caffine, sigh, God must be a Democrat

  3. Hopefully not a Navy NCO… you’d have to search pretty hard to find a civilian cup of coffee with the same strength as Navy coffee.

I swear the conversion ratio has to be about 4 to 1.
