Ramblings of an Emergency Physician in Texas

Quote of the day

Posted by GruntDoc on April 14th, 2008

Tonight’s comes from some EMS colleagues, while describing a patients’ eyes during a seizure:

“He’s got a conjugal gaze”.

Now, I’ve been on both sides of the conjugal gaze, and it has never involved a seizure. So far as I know.

The actual term is conjugate, by the way.

Ha! If your conjugal gaze involves a seizure, you’re doing it wrong.

Brings to mind the somewhat conjugal expression on Kevin Klein’s face during his ‘petite mort’ with Jamie Lee Curtis in A Fish Called Wanda.

My husband practically goes into a grand mal seizure at the very idea of sex with that Hollywood Bombshell! (And I am not talking about Kevin Klein!)
