Tonight I was walking into the hospital, and greeted two of my favorite consultant docs walking out. They’d just finished rounding. At 9pm.

No pagers, no running over hell and half the hospital to see my patients, no call, at least a few interesting cases each day, time off when i need it….. we have chosen wisely.
