Medicare’s mistake – Opinion – USATODAY.com

Kevin, MD (Dr. Pho) has yet another excellent op-ed in USA Today.  Why not Kevin, MD for Surgeon General over Dr. Gupta!

  1. Like everyone, Doctors happen to make mistakes that actually cost life or handicap a person for life. This is of course tough to take and unacceptable.
I may have to say, it’s all relative.
I have family in Europe where the doctors went into strike and did not work for over a month. Hospitals only maintain minimum service and they have refused to provide the chemotherapy session to patients where my relative was one of them.
So as bad as the mistakes can be in USA, refusing to provide treatment is even worse.
