I just answered the door to find a representative from a Big Name financial firm cold calling door-to-door to drum up business. Wow.

Edward Jones still does this. It is harder for many people to get rid of somebody who is at the door, rather than on the phone.

Times are tough and sadly this sort of thing might just become a bit more common in the coming months.
